Shirley Joann Cover

Shirley Joann Cover, 88, of Fishers, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.  She was born on February 23, 1936 to William and Geraldine (Shirkey) Klinedinst in LaPorte, Indiana.

Shirley grew up in the country with her five siblings which laid the foundation for her hard working and independent spirit.  Shirley was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother always putting her family first.  Shirley graduated from Tyner High School in 1954 and after raising her family went to college in her mid-50’s to become a paralegal, a job she loved and continued with until she retired.  

She is survived by her son, Tim (Karen) Cover, sister, Norma (Bill) Haworth, brother, Dave (Barb) Klinedinst, sister, Darlene Smith, daughter-in-law, Stephanie Cover, and grandchildren, Will, Logan, & Ethan Cover.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Cover, son, Michael Cover, son, Brian Cover, and brothers, Bill Klinedinst and Tom Klinedinst.

Services will be held on May 4th, 11:00 am at Tyner United Methodist Church, 4501 French Street in Tyner, Indiana, followed by burial at Morris Cemetery in Plymouth, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital or the Wounded Warriors Fund - two charities that Shirley felt strongly about.
