Shirley Ann Gaskill

Shirley Ann Gaskill, 78, of Noblesville, passed away in the afternoon of Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Riverview Health in Noblesville. She was born on August 31, 1938 to Ray Arthur and Verna Alma (Maring) McDaniels in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Her parents precede her in death.
Shirley had worked for Waterfield Mortgage in Fort Wayne, and then spent six years with the Department of Housing & Urban Development in Indianapolis, before returning to Waterfield Mortgage. She was a prayer warrior who loved the Lord Jesus and took a personal interest in everyone's spiritual life. She was a member of Fellowship Missionary Church in Fort Wayne, and had attended Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Noblesville. She was very involved in activities at Meredith Meadows Estates, where she lived; and also liked writing magazine articles for Reader's Digest. Shirley was a thoughtful and caring person, which was evident by the many cards and letters she sent to her family and friends. Her greatest joy, however, came from her children and grandchildren, and she enjoyed all of their activities.
She is survived by her three sons, Michael (wife Tracy) Gaskill, John Christian (wife Deanna) Gaskill and Joseph Patrick (wife Jenni) Gaskill; 12 grandchildren, Neil Miller, Becky Nicodemus, Rachel Lauer, Laurel Andrews, Ariel Gaskill, Brianna Gaskill, Abigail Gaskill, John Henry Gaskill, Jack Gaskill, Logan Gaskill, Adam Gaskill and Carson Gaskill; six great-grandchildren, Presley, Lois, Josh, Rowyn, Maynard and Kylee; three sisters, Arlene Partin, Lois Heister and Joyce (husb. Kenny) Davidson; several nieces & nephews; and her former husband, John J. Gaskill.
Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at White River Christian Church, 1685 North 10th Street in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wheeler Mission Ministries, 205 E. New York Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204; Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675; or, Erin's House for Grieving Children, 5670 YMCA Park Drive, Fort Wayne, IN 46835.
