Shirley Turpin

Shirley A. (Buffo) Turpin, 80, Gosport, passed away Monday, July 27, 2009 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. She was born February 27, 1929 in Marseilles, Illinois to Andrew and Anna Buffo.
Shirley retired in 1983 after 26 years at Riverview Hospital, where she had been a registered nurse. She was an avid sports fan; enjoyed fishing and camping; and loved to cook.
She is survived by sons, Jim (Wendy) Turpin of Bull Head City, AZ, & Terry (Judy) Turpin of Noblesville, IN; six grandchildren, Mike (Jeanine) Turpin, Traci (Brian) DeHaven, Crystal (Vince) Horne, Melissa Turpin, Laura (Nguyen) Tho, and Heather (Mike) Ta; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James B. Turpin, Sr who passed away in July 2008; and a son, Patrick Turpin who passed away in August 2008.
Services will be held at 7:00PM on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, with Pastor Mike Summers officiating. Friends may call Thursday, July 30, 4:00 - 7:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
