Stanley 'Stan' Goforth
Stanley "Stan" V. Goforth, 78, of Noblesville, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at St. Vincent Heart Center, surrounded by family. He was born on July 26, 1939 to William Jennings and Doris Inez (Bennett) Goforth in Crossnore, North Carolina.
Stan retired from General Motors, where he had been a computer operator. After his retirement, he worked for the Noblesville Parks & Recreation Department for 10 years, which became his 'home away from home'. He was a 1957 graduate of Noblesville High School, and proudly served his country with the U.S. Air Force after high school. Stan enjoyed camping, fishing and gardening in his spare time.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Elaine Goforth; two sons, Jeff (Rhonda) Goforth and Mark Goforth; two brothers, Roger Goforth and Dave (Beverly) Goforth; a grandson, Nathan Goforth; and a step-son, Brian New.
Services will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 5:00 pm. Rev. Larry J. Renihan will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 208 South LaSalle Street, Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60604-1242.
