Stephen F. Renner, 81, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 1, 1943 in Elwood, Indiana.
Steve was a graduate of Noblesville High School and a life long resident of Noblesville. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. Steve owned and operated Renner's Body Works in Noblesville, he was recipient of the State of Indiana Sagamore of the Wabash Award, and was a local philanthropist. He was a member of the Noblesville Elks and sponsored the Steve Renner Golf Outing for Cancer Research. Steve supported the local Boys and Girls Club and was a youth sports coach for basketball and baseball. He was a dedicated sports fan and an avid golfer, enjoying annual golf outings with his friends. For many years, Steve enjoyed gathering with friends at the local Jim Dandy restaurant for breakfast.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, survived by his wife, Linda Renner, who he affectionately called "Pearl"; sons, Tony (Bethany) Renner and Brad Renner; daughter, Bridget (Brandon) McKinney; grandchildren, Bryce Gibson, Jackson Renner, Brayden McKinney, Jake Renner, Aden Purkey, Lillie Grace Purkey, and Eli Purkey; great-grandchildren, Bentley Gibson, Samantha Renner, Beaumont McKinney, and Josephine McKinney; siblings, Saundra Stephenson, Stuart (Maurine) Renner, Susan Kalver, and Diahan (Lou) Ehasz; mother-in-law, Patricia Paskins; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Zelma Marshall; son, Chris Sheller; siblings, Sharon Wright, Mike Marshall, and Max Marshall; and father-in-law, Richard Paskins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville, with Pastor Rick Schoeff officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
