Steve Harvey, 58, of Noblesville passed away peacefully Tuesday December 28, 2010 after a brief illness. Remembered for his enormous heart, Steve blessed the lives of everyone he met. Steve was born January 20, 1952 to Fred and Rosemary Harvey of Indianapolis. His father precedes him in death.
He attended Warren Central High School and served in the US Navy aboard the USS Lexington, an aircraft carrier based out of Pensacola, Florida. Steve had a long career in the automotive industry with Chrysler Ford and eventually retired from Visteon in 2007.
Steve lived a diverse and adventurous life. He was an animal lover; was devoted to his dog, Leighla; and championed the cause of saving the manatees. He enjoyed camping, riding his Honda Goldwing, working in his woodshop, and cheering for the Boilermakers and Colts.
Steve glowed with family pride and enjoyed helping those he loved. He is survived by his wife, Kathy (Nethery) Harvey; son, Nathan Harvey of Busan, South Korea; mother, Rosemary Harvey of Indianapolis; stepchildren, Lora (Mark) Eberhart of Noblesville, Lisa Morris of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida & Tony (Amanda) Morris of Alexandria; grandchildren, Adam and Alex Eberhart, and Jarrett and Charlotte Morris; five sisters, Pat (John) Wampner of Greenwood, Linda (Tom) Houchins of St. Petersburg, Florida, Janice (Tom) Linkowski of East Tawas, Michigan, N. Kay (Steve) Morton of Indianapolis, Deena Harvey of Toronto, Ontario Canada; and a brother, Gregory Scott Harvey. Steve will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services to be held at Randall and Roberts Fishers Mortuary on Sunday, January 2, 2011. Calling from 12-4 pm with memorial service following at 4pm. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
