Steve Mekuly

Steve Mekuly, 86, Noblesville, passed away Monday, June 21, 2010 at Maple Park Village in Westfield. He was born July 6, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois to Luke and Mary (Knazik) Mekuly.
Steve retired in 1972 after 40 years as an advertising salesman. He had also worked as a realtor. He was a WWII Army veteran and attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. He was a member of the American Legion in Matteson, IL; past-president of the Heart Club of St. Francis Hospital in Illinois; and was a member of the VFW in Chicago.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Julie Mekuly, whom he married in 1947; son, Stephen (Ellen) Mekuly; daughter, Judy (Gene) Kelley; sons, Gary Mekuly & Greg (Cathy) Mekuly; seven grandhildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, John Mekuly.
Services will be held at 12:00PM on Friday, June 25, 2010 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Carmel. Friends may call Friday, June 25, beginning at 10:00AM prior to the funeral.
