Susie L. (Clairday) Absher, 87, Noblesville, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. She was born May 9, 1921 in West Point, Mississippi to James L. and Lucy (Goodson) Clairday.
Susie had been employed with Printed Wiring in Indianapolis, and had been a member of Central Christian Church in Carmel since October of 1972. She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star and a member of the White Shrine, both in Muncie.
She is survived by daughter, Darlene (Ray) Roberts of Noblesville; twin-sister, Mattie L. Swartz of Eaton, IN; brother, Charles (Liz) Clairday of Springport, IN; sister, Vicky Valentine of Hartford City, IN; step-sons, Dennis (Bobbi) Absher of California, Rodney (& Sandy) Absher of Indianapolis, & Curtis (Sheila) Absher of Indianapolis; step-daughter, Kim (Jim) Bell of Indianapolis; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; and 19 step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marion Absher (1988); son, Donald Absher; and 13 brothers & sisters.
Services will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville, with Pastor Richard Clark officiating. Friends may call Wednesday, April 22, 4:00 - 8:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
