Thelma (Twede) Butler, 99, of Cicero, Indiana passed away Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She was born September 29, 1909 in Payson, Utah to Herman August and Mary Eliza (Jensen) Twede.
Thelma was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband served a temple mission. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafts and reading.
She is survived by two sisters; three daughters, including the youngest, Ilene Arnold (Arthur) who lives in Cicero, IN; 22 grandchildren, including Linda Engebretsen of Noblesville, Lisa Tillett (James) of Avon, Robert Arnold (Nicole) of Fishers, Lana Cruz of Noblesville, and David Arnold (Alissandra) of Carmel; 69 great-grandchildren; and 39 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Elvon Joseph Butler; six brothers; three sisters; two children; and two grandsons.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 20, 2009 from 6-8 at Randall and Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville. Funeral services will be held in Spring Lake, Utah on Tuesday, February 24 at 11:00AM.
