Thomas Franklin Gumbel, 58, Noblesville, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2008 at home. He was born July 20, 1949 in Indianapolis to Loretta (Michaelis) and John Gumbel.
Thomas was a District Manager for Solvay Pharmaceutical. He had worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 35 years. He graduated from Cathedral High School and Ball State University, and was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. He was also an avid golfer, and loved music and sports.
He is survived by wife, Jeanette Gumbel of Noblesville; son, Matt Gumbel of Westfield; daughter, Megan Gumbel of Noblesville; sisters, Susan (& Larry) Jinks of Connersville, and Janet (& Bill) Pitchford of Noblesville; mother-in-law, Doris Vetter of Columbus, IN; brothers-in-law, Frank (& Susan) Vetter, and Jim (& JoAnn) Gattens; sisters-in-law, Pam (& Karl) Friedline, and Donna (& Ralph) Boesche; and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by father-in-law, Frank Vetter;and sister-in-law, Sandra Gatten.
Services will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville with Chaplain Tracy Paschke-Johannes officiating. Friends may call Tuesday, April 22, from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery.
