Thomas Chester Mazur

Thomas Chester Mazur, 72, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023.  He was born on September 9, 1951 to Chester and Stella Mazur in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Tom was a happy-go-lucky kinda guy with a good heart and always-ready humorous quip. He grew up the middle child, between older sisters, Carole and Stefanie (Suzy) and younger sisters Linda, and Judianne. He graduated from Thomas Howe High School. 

Tom's first job was with the Penn Central Railroad. Later, he had his own moving van truck and traveled around the country for more than a decade, also teaching semi driving for a period. When his back no longer tolerated lifting things, Tom worked for several years installing garage doors. Most recently, he delivered parts for O'Reilly Auto Parts, where he made good friends around the city. 

Tom is survived by his son & daughter-in-law, Joseph & Arliana Mazur; sister, Carole Mazurowski; and cousin, Bill Kutylo.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Suzy, Linda and Judianne.

Private family services will be held.  Burial will be Friday, December 22, 2023 at 2:00 pm in Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
