Thomas “Tommy” F. Yetman, 104, of Noblesville, Indiana peacefully passed away on November 29, 2023. He was born July 8, 1919 to parents Percy and Elizabeth Julia (nee Gribbin) Yetman in Douglas, Isle of Man. At age 3 he came to live in Cleveland, Ohio.
Tommy served in WWII in the Army/Air Force Armament Division. He was stationed in England, France, Austria and Italy as a member of the 454th Bomb Squadron and the 323rd Bomb Group. He served from 1941 to 1945 before returning to Cleveland.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Wendy Fenelon (Tom Cajka), and Randy Carey; loving son, Raymond (Dede); nieces, Kathy Gliva (Ed), and Barb Holliman (Chris); along with many great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also survived by 5 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; 6 great-grandsons; and 6 great-granddaughters.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Roberta (nee Watson); sisters, Edith May (nee Pierce), and Margaret (nee Glunt).
He appreciated all of the love and care from his family especially his grandson, Eric and Eric’s wife, Frannie, along with all the great people from the assisted care at the Lodge, and Harbor Manor in Noblesville, IN.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 1:30 to 4:00 pm at the Lodge located at 1667 Sheridan Rd, Noblesville, IN.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis, IN Honor Flight (info@honorflight.org) and the VA Hospital of Indianapolis.
