Tipton Whitson

Tipton Whitson, 86, Noblesville , passed away Friday, December 18, 2009 at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville. He was born April 23, 1923 in Saint Charles, Virginia to Tipton and Elizabeth (Frith) Whitson.
Tipton was a woodworker. He retired in 1982, after being owner and operator of Whitson Cabinet Shop in Noblesville since 1968. He had also been employed with Firestone.
He was a WWII Army veteran; and had been a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses for over 50 years.
He and his wife, Mildred (Burgess) Whitson had been married for over 68 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Mike (Vickie) Whitson; five grandchildren, Craig Whitson, Amanda Whitson, Jennifer Whitson, Luke Whitson and Gabrielle (Keith) Kimmberling; four great-granddaughters, Autumn Whitson, Sierra Whitson, Hope Grace Whitson, Mya Whitson; nephew, Doug Whitson and several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Clifford Whitson; three brothers, Elmer Whitson, Ed Whitson & Albert Whitson; and two sisters, Gladis Brock & Ella York.
Services will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville, with Rick Richards officiating. There will be a visitation from 11:00 - 1:00PM immediately prior to the service.
