Tom Benefiel

Fred (Tom) Benefiel, Jr., age 59, of Arcadia, IN, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born June 26, 1949, the son of Fred (Tom) Benefiel, Sr. and Wanda Louise (Penwell) Benefiel of Strawtown, IN. They survive.
His greatest love was farming with his father, of which he did for 42 years. He also greatly enjoyed coaching Little League & girls softball.
He was an avid Pacers fan and also enjoyed watching the Colts and NASCAR.
Survivors also include his wife, Susie (Terry) Benefiel; daughters, Paula Jo, Carla Dawn and Jennifer; son, Joshua Shane; granddaughter, Jessica Louise; sisters, Rebecca Ann (Mark) Sims, and Randy Louise Thomas (and her companion, Steve); brothers, Steve (Vickie) Benefiel, and Roy (Joyce) Benefiel; stepdaughters, Shannon Potter, and Kristen (Travis) Bloom; and several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins, who were very special to him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Bessie (Staton) Penwell and Earl and Sharlean (Ferguson) Benefiel.
Services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Randall and Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville, IN, with Rev. Jeff Young officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Carey Cemetery in Strawtown.
