Troy Wallace "Wally" Scott

Troy Wallace Scott, born November 22, 1920, had his baptism completed in death on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the age of 96. He was truly the Lord's servant, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Beloved by many, Wally attended Broad Ripple High School where he achieved his 2 greatest accomplishments. First, he met the love of his life and future wife, Harriett Louise Bray; and second, he captained and quarterbacked the Ripple Rockets to the City Championship in 1938.

Throughout his career, Wally was employed by Roberts Dairy, IBM, and retired as a Certified Life Underwriter for Mass Mutual. He served as an elder for many years at the East 91st Street Christian Church. Wally was an ardent fan of the Indianapolis Colts, The Indy 500, and had a passion for the game of golf.
His wife of 63 years, Harriett; his son, Ron; 2 sisters; and 3 brothers preceded him in death.
Wally is survived by his sons, Troy (Susan) and David (Jodi); his daughter-in-law, Marsha Scott; nine grandchildren, Peter, Jeremy, Christopher, Hunter, Nicole, Holly, Ryan, Shannon and Sean; and 14 great-grandchildren. His brother, Jack Scott; and sister-in-law, Catherine Richardson also survive him.
In the final analysis of Wally's life, he was a small-town boy who grew up in a neighborhood without mystery…a father spading a tomato patch, a mother setting teacups on a card table. His voice could enclose you like a blessing and his wonderful blue eyes kept their twinkle even in the darker times. Wally Scott was the definition of a true gentleman and lived his life by example. He was well loved and will be very much missed by all who knew him.
Private family graveside services will be held at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.  Randall & Roberts Funeral Homes has been entrusted with Wally's care.
