Veneta F. Yancey, 87, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at The Lodge Assisted Living in Noblesville. She was born on June 13, 1929 to Luther & Pauline (Barrickman) Baldwin in Cleveland, Indiana.
Veneta had been a LPN at Riverview Hospital and the former Harrell Hospital in Noblesville; and was a member of Refuge Christian Church in Noblesville. She loved traveling, quilting, reading and spending time with her family at family reunions.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Yancey; two daughters, Janalee (husband James) Brown and Andrea (husband Steve Carmer) Yancey; four grandchildren, Rachel Brown, Megan Schwaiger, Kyle Wickliff and Stacie Wickliff; three great-grandchildren, Carson, Emma and Makenzie; son-in-law, Bruce Wickliff; and two sisters, Esther Hulett and Hazel Scherer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Annette Wickliff; and four siblings, Ruby Cole, Elmer Baldwin, Walter Baldwin and Claude Baldwin.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville, with Rev. Stanley R. Sutton officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 9, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
