Vera Mae (Scearce) Brandinburg
, 98, of Port Orange, FL, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2008. She was born January 16, 1910 in Noblesville, to Carah and Kate (Zimmer) Scearce.
Vera had been a volunteer at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She was a 1928 graduate of Noblesville High School; and had attended Hanover College in Madison, IN, where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.
She was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star in Noblesville; and the Ladies and Couples' Bridge Clubs in Noblesville. She was a lifetime member of Refuge Christian Church in Noblesville; and an affiliate-member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Daytona Beach Shores, FL.
She is survived by her daughter, Kay Jarrell, and her granddaughter, Katelyn Mae Jarrell, both of Daytona Beach Shores, FL.
Vera married Lowell Brandinburg on November 4, 1933. He precedes her in death.
Services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville, with Rev. Stanley R. Sutton officiating. Friends may call Friday, December 19, 2:00 - 4:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
