Vera Cox
Vera D. Cox, 99, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Allisonville Meadows in Fishers. She was born on August 24, 1913 to George and Georgie (Riddle) Tharp in Cicero, Indiana.
Vera was a homemaker. She worked for Firestone during WWII, and was a cook at the old Fishers high school. She was a 1931 graduate of Cicero high school, was a member of Fishers United Methodist Church, and member of Fishers Home Boosters for more than 50 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Mitchell, Connie Cady; son, Douglas Cox; 9 grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Cox; five brothers; one sister; two half-brothers; and three step-brothers.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am immediately prior to the service. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
