Vera Lee Farrior, 91, of Fishers, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Hamilton Trace of Fishers. She was born on May 7, 1926 to Elmer and Mary (Lowder) Burch in Mohawk, Indiana.
During World War II, Vera worked for RCA on microphones for pilots. She also worked as a stenographer and secretary for attorneys, veteran's state services, and the state legislature. Vera loved Mahjong and enjoyed playing Euchre with the Fishers Friday afternoon & Wednesday night clubs. Most of all, her favorite job was being a homemaker, and she loved being a Mom and Grandma.
Vera is survived by her daughter, Mary (Chris) Perry; grandson, Michael Perry; as well as several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Farrior; sister, Gene Maynard; and brother, Bob Burch.
Visitation will be from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers. Services will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the funeral home, with Pastor Dick Judson officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
