Vickie Amburgy, 63, of Carmel, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2013. She was born on November 8, 1950 to Norman and Viola (Rose) Swallow in Dayton, Ohio. Her parents preceded her in death.
Vickie was a 1969 graduate of Northmont High School and a homemaker. She was an active member of Open Door Free Methodist Church in Noblesville. She was a former Sunday School secretary at the First Church of God in Noblesville. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading, and playing Scrabble. She loved watching the Colts, Pacers, and Boilermakers. March Madness was one of her favorite times of year. Vickie also enjoyed spending time watching the hummingbirds in her backyard. Mostly, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Vickie was a devoted and caring wife, mom, and grandma.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Ed Amburgy; daughter, Jenny (Ted) Lenze; son, Mark (Melinda) Amburgy; sisters, Connie (Mark) Howard, and Carla Swallow; grandchildren, Justin, Ethan, Katelyn, & Logan Amburgy, and Carson & Breanna Lenze.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville, with Pastor Jeff Gammon officiating. Visitation will be Friday, December 6, 2013 from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
