Vincent 'Vince' Kucharczyk, 53, of Fishers, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Indiana Heart Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on May 26, 1957 to Cyril and Rita (Maguire) Kucharczyk in Queens, New York.
Vince was a computer systems analyst contracted with the State of Indiana. He proudly served his country as an embassy guard in Norway & Poland with the U.S. Marines from 1980-1986. He was a graduate of Fort Hunt High School in Virginia and Columbia Union College in Maryland. He was a member of St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church in Fishers; a second-degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do; an avid runner; and loved to ski. He coached soccer and baseball for many years with S.P.O.R.T.S and was a real family man.
Prior to working for the State of Indiana, Vince worked at EDS in Virginia, where he met his wife and had his first child. Later, they moved to Indiana where worked in computer systems for Personix, Wiley & Sons before joining the State of Indiana. Vince had been a Redskins fan but was transformed to a Colts fan when he moved to Indiana.
He is survived by wife, Suzanne Kucharczyk of Fishers, IN; daughter, Katherine Anne Kucharczyk; son, Christopher Stephen Kucharczyk; three brothers, James, Mark & Paul Kucharczyk; mother-in-law, Rosemary Szumilas; and sister, Peggy (Donald) Moore.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Stephen Kucharczyk.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church in Fishers, with Rev. Phillip Haslinger officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, Fishers. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
