Vona Weaver, 70, of French Lick (formerly of Noblesville), passed away on Friday, November 25, 2011 at her home in French Lick. She was born on January 18, 1941 to Herb Swinford and Katherine (King) Swinford-Hartsock in Noblesville.
Vona worked as a custodian in the Hamilton County Court House; drove a school bus for Noblesville Schools; and, most recently, had worked at the French Lick Springs Resort. She a member of VFW Auxiliary French Lick.
She is survived by children Tonya (Kevin) Graves, Shelly (Steve) Dugger, Kathy (Scott) Dillman, Glenda (Mike) Hileman, Kenny Weaver, Randy Weaver; siblings Stanley (Lupe) Swinford, Patty Jones, Steve (Karen) Swinford, Tracy Swinford, Sally Swinford; grandchildren, Kailea Graves, Kenzie Graves, Kelsie Graves, Jessica (Jimmy) Pharis, Brennen Dugger, Danny (Shala) Applegate, Katie (Mike) Quaranta, Dustin Parker, Jake Weaver, Nate Weaver, Zach Weaver, Randy Weaver, Cody Hileman, B. J. Hileman; and several great-.grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Herb and Katherine King-Swinford-Hartsock, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Weaver; step-father, Robert Hartsock; brother, Sid Swinford; and granddaughter, Jama Hileman.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville, with Rev. Richard D. Bell officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon, at the funeral home, immediately prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
