Walter Brattain, 80, Noblesville, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at home. He was born October 12, 1928 in Hamilton County to James and Ethel (Woods) Brattain.
Walter had worked for Irving Materials for 32 years. Walter had served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War in Artillary Battalion 424. He was a member of the American Legion; VFW; Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Brattain of Noblesville; son, Timothy Wayne & wife Pam Brattain; niece, Sharon Cherry; nephew, Larry Brattain; three grandchildren, Casie Brattain Bussell and husband Will, Alex Brattain, and Kyle Kreutzinger; and two great-grandchildren, Addison Raye & Layla Grace Bussell.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gregory Scott Brattain and three brothers.
Services will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2009 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, Noblesville, with Pastor Robert Stubbs officiating. Friends may call Friday, March 13, 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery.
