Wanda Chatel

Wanda Leonette Chatel, 76, of Arcadia, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital - 86th St. in Indianapolis. She was born on December 15, 1936 to William Kenneth and Clara Ione (Kinsey) Pickett in Noblesville, Indiana.
Wanda was a self-employed small business owner. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Cicero. Wanda loved her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed woodworking and refinishing furniture; gardening and bird feeding.
She is survived by daughter, Moira (Andy) Elder; son, Terence (Susan) Garrity; son, Bruce (Jennifer) Chatel; grandchildren, Daniel & Katie Garrity; Bill, Walker & Kristie Elder, and Grayson & Gavin Chatel; sister, Pat (Leonard) Koerber; several nieces & nephews; plus several great-nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, James Vincent Garrity; brother, Kenneth "Bud" Pickett, and sister-in-law, Carolyn Pickett.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville. Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 15176 Blessed Mother Blvd., in Fishers, with Father Brian Dudzinski officiating. Burial will be at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel, Indiana.
