Wayne Blackford

Wayne Blackford, 82, of Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Compassus Hospice in Indianapolis. He was born on August 6, 1941 to the late Denver and Amelia (Kuhn) Blackford, and raised in Fishers, Indiana.

Wayne was a 1959 graduate of Fishers High School. For 37 years, he worked as a carpenter for Geupel Demars Construction and Terstep. After retirement, he worked 15 years for Hamilton Southeastern Schools. Wayne loved golf, bowling, and basketball. He was an avid IU, Pacers and Colts fan. Wayne volunteered for Riverview Hospital for many years. He bragged on and loved his grandchildren.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Dorothy Blackford; daughter, Tracy Watkins; son, Jeff (Cathy) Blackford; sister, Margaret (Larry) Renihan; Donna Brooks, who was like a daughter; and his 4 grandchildren, Lexi Watkins, Braeden Watkins, Emma Blackford, and Logan Blackford.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville.
