Wayne Lee Minnis, 70, of Carmel, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at home. He was born on September 9, 1943 to Lawrence and Velma (Garber) Minnis in Dawn, Missouri.
Wayne retired in 2008. He had worked as a computer programmer analyst, and contracted with many different companies in his career. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis A Minnis of Carmel, IN; children, Brandon K Minnis of Phoenix, AZ, Carolyn Robbins of Excelsior Springs, MO, Sharon (Dave) Minnis-Roark of Dearborn, MO, Erin Minnis; step-children, Cindy Cunningham of Beech Grove, IN, DeeDee (Brian) Ringham of Mooresville, IN, and Leslie VanCamp of Beech Grove, IN; brother, Allen (Mary) Minnis, East Sound, WA; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law Shirley Minnis, Chillicothe, MO and Janie Minnis of Arkansas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Minnis & David Minnis.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday November 4, 2013 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary with visitation beginning 11:00 AM immediately prior to the service. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
