Wendell Norton, 87, of Fishers, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 29, 2017. He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Cecilia; daughters, Cathy (Greg) Habegger and Carla (Larry) Morrow; and grandchildren, Jack and Ben Habegger, Collin, Emily and Logan Morrow. Born June 20, 1930, Wendell was preceded in death by his parents, John and Beatrice Norton; sister, Betty Norton; and infant grandson, Will Habegger. Wendell was a graduate of Broad Ripple High School, and earned his Bachelor's degree from Franklin College and his Master's degree from Butler University. He was an elementary teacher and principal for many years in Lawrence Township Schools. After retiring as an educator, he worked at the Children's Museum in Indianapolis and later as a volunteer at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, October 2, 2017 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers. Services will be held at 1:00 on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at First Baptist Church, 8600 College Ave., Indianapolis with an additional visitation beginning at 12:00 noon prior to the service. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery in Indianapolis.
