William 'Bill" Coverdale

William Coverdale, 69, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville.  He was born on November 25, 1953 to Mark and Era (Holt) Coverdale in Noblesville, Indiana.

Bill was a 1972 Noblesville High School graduate.  He was a finish and trim carpenter, working for many Noblesville businesses including Noblesville Furniture.  After marrying Cheryl, they moved to Bloomington, Indiana in 1986 and Bill continued his construction work.  He was a member of University Baptist Church in Bloomington where his membership was a vital part of his daily life. Bill made friends wherever he went, and these friends became family.

He is survived by his children, Ayron Gabbert and Lyndall Gabbert; grandson, Izaiah Gabbert; sister, Nancy (Dick) Nance; brother, Mark (Chris) Coverdale, Jr.; step-sister, Libby Evans; step-brother, Bruce Evans; nephews, Mike Huber (Ann), Mark Coverdale, III, Brad (Yvette) Coverdale, and Tom (Rachael) Coverdale; many nieces, nephews & cousins; and furry partner, Cosmo, who now winters in Florida.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl (Pierson) Coverdale; sister-in-law, MaryAnne Coverdale; and step-brother, Bill Evans.

Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville, with Pastor Annette Briggs officiating.  Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to the time of service at the funeral home.  To honor Bill, the family asks those attending to dress casually.  Bill's favorites were Hawaiian shirts, suspenders, and bib overalls.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to University Baptist Church, 3740 East 3rd Street, Bloomington, IN 47401.

The family would like to thank University Baptist Church for all the love and support given to Bill during his life in Bloomington.  They also thank the staff at Harbour Manor for their care and compassion of Bill in his final phase of life.
