William "Bill" Drahn
William 'Bill' C. Drahn, 67, of Noblesville, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2011 at IU Health Hospital North in Carmel. He was born on June 7, 1944 to Walter H. W. and Elsie (Kliefoth) Drahn in Monona, IA.
Bill was employed as Regional Sales Manager for Gro-Tec, Inc. in Monon, IN for the past six years. He had a 40-year career in the nutritional part of agriculture as part of the livestock & feed industry. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Noblesville, where he was currently the president of the Bd. of Elders (of which he had been an Elder for many years); and where he had been a past congregational president. He was a 1962 graduate and class president of MFL High School in Iowa; had been on the volunteer fire department in Monona, IA; and had been a Sunday School teacher at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Monona. He loved golfing, bowling, fishing, boating and racing; and adored all the grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Carolyn J. (Steltenpohl) Drahn; daughter, Sharon Annette (David) Miller; son, Travis Edward (Shannon) Drahn; step-daughters, Yvonna Kay Beavers & Yvette Ranea Stewart; siblings, Robert (Dorla) Drahn, Delores Olds, Elaine (William) Possehl & Keith (Joyce) Drahn; grandchildren; step-grandchildren; and brothers-in-law, William Schupbach & John Moderwell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one step-grandson; three sisters, Georgene Schupbach, Sharon Chrablow-Moderwell & Leola McComis; three brothers-in-law, Charles McComis, Richard Olds & Marshall Chrablow.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at Christ Lutheran Church in Noblesville, with Rev. Adrian Piazza officiating. Visitation will be Friday, June 24, 2011 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville.
