William May

William "Bill" O'Neil May, 81, Fishers, passed away Monday, December 22, 2008 at home. He was born April 23, 1927 in Richmond, Kentucky to Talton and Callie (Cobb) May.
Bill worked for the Delco-Remy division of General Motors as a general assembly specialist for 20 1/2 years. He graduated from the University of Kentucky; and was a member of St. Louis deMontfort Catholic Church in Fishers. He was also a former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anderson. Bill served in both the U.S. Army and Air Force. He loved to travel with his family and was an avid horse lover, who enjoyed watching derbys.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Hostetter) May of Fishers; daughters, Teresa (Mike) Ballart of Anderson, Deborah (Terry) Rich of Lapel, Laurie (Ronnie) Howell of Muncie, Mary Elaine (Bill) Osterhout of Baton Rouge, LA, Nancy Jamrose of Fishers, Patricia (John) Carrico of Fishers, & Maureen (Kevin) Fox of Fishers; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one  neice; and one nephew.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Vernon May; and grandson Jay Howell.
Services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at St. Louis deMontfort Catholic Church in Fishers, with calling one hour prior. Father Patrick Click will be officiating. Friends may call Friday, December 26, 4:00 - 8:00PM at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, with a sharing & rosary service at 7:00PM. Entombment will be at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery in Indianapolis.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Louis deMontfort Church Rejuvination Fund; or St. Vincent's Hospice.
