Wilma L. Kanouse

Wilma L. (White) Kanouse, 80, Cicero, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Sheridan Healthcare Center. She was born February 12, 1928 in Rising Sun, Indiana to Elmer F. and Mary (Brown) White.
Wilma had worked as a telephone operator for the Bell Telephone Company for several years. She was a member of Cicero United Methodist Church. She had attended Indiana University. She loved gardening, birds (especially Hummingbirds), and playing Bridge & Euchre with friends.
She is survived by her husband, George M. Kanouse, Jr.; daughters, Kathleen A. (& Brian) Wilson of San Diego, CA, and Karen (& Paul) Simon of Bedford, TX; niece, Barbara (& Toby) Brocker; and two granddaughters.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Russell White.
Services will be held at 10:30AM on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary. with Rev. Byron Fritz  officiating. Friends may call Wednesday, November 12, 4:00 - 7:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
