Margaret "Margay" Unger , 74, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. She was born on December 3, 1947 to Elbert and Catherine (Beeson) Kinzer in Carmel, Indiana.
Margaret was a 1965 graduate of Carmel High School. She was very crafty, making quilts, custom jewelry pictures, and basket weaving, some small enough to wear on a necklace. Margaret loved animals. She raised Alpine dairy goats for almost 25 years and won many awards with one Best of Show. She was very fond of cats, dogs, and horses, and also enjoyed dancing. Margaret helped raise Dale's 4 children when his first wife died at a very young age.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Unger; daughter, Julie (Juan) Greene; son, Randy Devaney; step-sons, Brian Scott (Margaret) Unger and Mike (Brandy) Unger; step-daughters, Heidi Unger and Heather Unger; 2 grandchildren, Jessie and Tiffany; 4 step-grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Kinzer; and sisters, Pat (Selby) Haskell, Gloria (Jetty) Dausman, and Connie (Herb) Wagner.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Crownland Cemetery, 1776 Monument Street in Noblesville. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Ginger's Cafe, 1111 S. 10th Street, in Noblesville, following the services.
The family would like to thank all of the workers who cared for Margaret at Riverview Hospital, Harbour Manor, and Care Hospice Services.
