Marlene Essex

Marlene Anne Essex, 82, of Westfield, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at her home.  She was born on March 5, 1939 to Clifford and Bessie (Beals) Mundy in Sheridan, Indiana.

Marlene graduated from Westfield High School in 1957, the same year as her future husband, Kay Essex.  Marlene worked in administration for over 30 years.  She had a very welcoming and warm personality and was always willing to help others.  Marlene was a woman of faith and very selfless.  She liked to sew and tend to the flowers in her yard.  Most of all, Marlene loved her family and was an amazing grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Dixie Essex; sons, Bryan (Randie) Essex and Doug (Jenny) Essex; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Kay E. Essex in 2021.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville.  Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 7, 2022 at the funeral home, with Rev. Larry J. Renihan officiating.  Burial will be at Eagle Creek Cemetery in Westfield.
