Dear Barker Family,
We were all so sorry to hear of Pat's death and offer our sincere condolences. We knew him as a fine public-spirited man and welcome neighbor.
I'm beyond sorry for not being able to make it today. Sue has to go into work unexpectedly leaving me to travel alone which is not advisable in my condition
Pat holds a very special place in my heart as it aches and I will always cherish the memories and our candid conversations. He was the quintessential man's man worthy of the utmost trust and loyalty
I will be there in spirit today paying homage to a great friend, husband, father and grandfather. You, Charlie, Laura and the rest of the family are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time
I know Pat is in the embrace of our Lord free at last from the disease he so valiantly fought for over four years
May God bless and watch over you and everyone affected by the loss of a truly fine person
My thoughts and prayers go out to to everyone in Pat's family. I cherish all the times spent with him both in and out of work. His smile and outlook was infectious and you just enjoyed being around him!
I learned to not only be a better professional, but a better person, by knowing him.
Thank you Bark for all you did for everyone. You will be remembered always, and missed forever.
Wow....Pat was a large fixture in my childhood and teen years. He excelled in sports and music, but especially as an encourager and bright presence in Lynchburg and anywhere he ever was! I was 2 grades behind him in school but we played a lot of baseball together over the years. I always saw him and Rick Murray as my heroes. So much to say but will simply finish by saying thanks for all you have ever been to so many of us. Your bright outlook and warm smile will be forever remembered! Love to the Barkers from your childhood friends the Irwins!
Our hearts are hurting with you all. Pat fought this so hard and never gave up. Wonderful man, father, friend, and family member. And that smile! Please know that we love you all and are keeping you close to our hearts and in our prayers.
Love and hugs,
Tal and Joni
