Obituary of Scarlett Minton

Scarlett M. Minton, 78, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Riverview Health, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on May 26, 1940 to Gerald M. and Rebecca V. (Locke) Whitton in Lewisville, Indiana.

Scarlett was a 1958 graduate of Lewisville High School and attended Indiana Central College for one year, where she played on the women's basketball team.  She married Paul Robert Minton on May 27, 1961.  Scarlett worked at H&R Block and for C. Dana Meyer Optometry.  She loved to read and enjoyed traveling, especially to Charleston, SC, where her sister lives.  Scarlett was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder and Sunday School superintendent.  She loved spending time with her family and friends.  Scarlett loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all her heart.  They were all so very important and precious to her, and she was proud of each and every one.

Scarlett is survived by her husband, Robert Minton; children, Jeanine (Sydney) Loomis, Jennifer Guetig, Lana (Cliff) Buchman, and Kent Minton; seven grandchildren, Caryn (Kent) Provence, Amy (Kurt) Robison, Spencer Loomis, Stephanie Guetig (Alex Walling), Stephen (Kristy) Guetig, Emily Buchman and Justin Buchman; six great-grandchildren, Caylee & Kennedy Provence, Madison Mahoney, Evelyn, Vivian and Kyle Robison; brother, Paul (Arlene) Whitton; and sisters, Joan Benson, and Ruthanne (Rex) Pierce.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Whitton; and sister, Judith Schwab.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville.  Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the funeral home, with Pastor Eric Gale officiating.
